Introduction
Hi! My name is Fangtong Sun, but feel free to call me Fangtong.
I’m currently enrolled in the MEITE program, where I’m diving into the intersection of education, technology, and innovation.
Previously, I shared a bit about my work experience, so here’s the remix: I worked in the strategy department at Xiaohongshu( RED Note), China’s equivalent of Instagram meets Pinterest, but with a touch of e-commerce magic. My job was like being a business detective—I produced industry research and analysis reports that helped my bosses decide whether shiny new business ideas were worth pursuing.
On top of that, I was a problem-solving enthusiast. I focused on helping Chinese celebrities and artists crack the code to win on the platform. Whether it was turbocharging their follower growth, managing their accounts without losing their minds, or nailing e-commerce livestreams (yes, selling lipstick live is big business), I was their go-to person.
Now, I’m looking for roles where I can flex my data analysis and project management skills. I’ve also realized that in the U.S., networking is the name of the game when it comes to job hunting. So, I’m on a mission to sharpen my people skills and ace the art of interviewing. Let’s face it—every country has its quirks, and I’m here to master the fine balance between showing off my skills and not coming across as too much.
